Sweat, booze, good vibes and great music - whip it all together and you’ve got Peking Duk.

Confirmed legends Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles are Australia’s favourite duo. They’re the guys wearing matching tracksuits on the red carpet, the showmen going viral with their onstage antics, the everyday heroes bringing fans backstage for a beer and the hitmakers responsible for your favourite songs.

The Duk started their ascent in 2014 with ‘High’, the ARIA-winning, four-times platinum single that was the #1 most played track on triple j that year and #2 in the Hottest 100. They followed that up with two more huge hits – the triple platinum ‘Take Me Over’, and the gold-certified ‘Say My Name’ – before returning in late 2016 with ‘Stranger’, a collaboration with Swedish cool girl Elliphant that’s already racked up 20 million streams on Spotify. How’s that for a track record?

And no one knows how to put on a party quite like the boys: their live show will leave you sweat-soaked, champagne-sprayed and picking bits of confetti out of your hair for days.

The best bit? With a debut album around the corner, Peking Duk’s domination isn’t done yet.

Best mates first, band mates second – the heart of Hockey Dad has always existed in the friendship between duo Zach Stephenson and Billy Fleming, who first met in early childhood, growing up two doors apart in the unassuming, laid back coastal town of Windang, NSW. The foundations for the band began in early 2013, where an underage Fleming and Stephenson would sneak into their local live music haunt to catch their favourite bands. Eventually they were granted regular slots playing to an ever-growing crew of enthusiastic friends turned fans, and quickly picking up the attention of local Wollongong indie label Farmer & The Owl. In 2014 they released their Dreamin’ EP and were finalists in the triple j unearthed high competition.

‘Scream Whole’ is the first new music from the Perth band since their second record Everything Is Forgotten was released in March 2017.

World premiered on Triple J Drive with Veronica & Lewis, ‘Scream Whole’ is a nimble art-rock cut, which Jake Webb describes as, “That cold sweat. That swollen throat. That sick feeling bubbling up from your guts. When midday movies dredge suppressed memories that scream for closure. What to do?”
